Moving into its third generation, Schachinger is taking the step toward becoming a learning organization and is introducing comprehensive sustainability management. Based on an integrated model, we look at ecologic, economic and social aspects in combination with one another and implement them as key strategic elements in our business processes. We rely on our best-in-class solutions for the construction of facilities in passive house standard, a modern fleet of vehicles operated with regional plant oil and driven according to eco-driving principles, the comprehensive supply with certificated green electricity, the optimization of our logistics/transport processes to reduce CO2 emissions, and integrated health circles. As citizens of the world, we have a responsibility not only towards our customers, but also towards the next generations. After all, our children will build their lives on resources that we are obliged to preserve and sustain.

For its efforts, Schachinger has already won several awards:

• 2004: Energy Globe OÖ: 1st prize in the category 'Air'; project: "Substitution of the greatest possible amount of fossil fuels with biodiesel"
• 2008: klima:aktiv Award for Competence in Climate Protection (Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management)
• 2008: OÖ Landespreis für Umwelt und Natur (Environment & Nature Award of the Province of Upper Austria)
